5-ft Guard Cabin or WC Cabin
One compact cabin, two practical configurations
5-ft guard cabin or single WC cabin for sites where space is limited.
This compact, insulated CHV cabin is available in two purpose-specific configurations: as a guard cabin for entrances and controlled-access points, or as a single WC cabin for locations that need an individual sanitary unit. With external dimensions of 1,450 × 1,300 × 2,591 mm, it provides a functional enclosed space while using less room than a standard office or sanitary container.
Guard cabin for entrances and controlled-access points
The guard-cabin configuration creates a protected workstation for gate staff, security personnel or reception duties. Standard equipment includes one entrance door, one full-size window and an electrical installation. A heater or air-conditioning unit can be added according to the intended location and operating conditions. Its compact format is particularly useful at site entrances, depots, car parks and other locations where visibility and direct contact with arriving visitors or vehicles matter.
Single WC cabin where space is limited
The WC configuration turns the same compact cabin format into an individual sanitary unit. It is supplied with a sanitary window, toilet and washbasin; additional ventilation and heating are available as options. It can support workplaces, yards, events and other locations where a larger sanitary container would provide more capacity than the site requires. The appropriate electrical, water and wastewater connections must be provided at the installation site.
Configure the cabin for its intended use
The two configurations use the same compact cabin concept but are equipped for distinctly different purposes. The intended use, available footprint, access conditions and optional climate equipment determine the appropriate specification. CHV can advise on the configuration and coordinate the cabin with the required transport, placement and connection work.
Need the cabin temporarily?
Compact guard cabins and single WC cabins are also available from the CHV rental fleet.
How CHV Office Containers Are Built
CHV office containers combine a welded steel frame with insulated floor, roof and wall elements, factory-installed electrical equipment and configurable windows, doors and internal layouts. The sections below describe the typical construction; the final specification is confirmed for the selected model and intended use. Explore office-container equipment and finishes >
Structural Frame & Modular Design
The load-bearing structure comprises a welded floor frame, roof frame and corner posts made from 3 mm galvanized, coated steel profiles. The modular design allows containers to be positioned individually, arranged side by side or combined into larger facilities. Wall openings and internal partitions can be planned around the required layout. Stacked solutions are possible where the project-specific structural design, foundations and approvals permit them.
Roof Construction
The flat roof uses a welded steel frame and a galvanized sheet-steel outer skin with sealed double seams. Mineral-wool or rigid-foam insulation and an internal ceiling lining complete the build-up. The insulation and lining are specified for the model, intended use and required thermal performance.
Floor Construction
A galvanized, coated steel floor frame with forklift pockets provides the structural base. The standard build-up includes 100 mm non-combustible mineral-wool insulation, an underfloor sheet layer, a 20 mm cement-bonded board and durable, low-smoke, flame-retardant 1.5 mm homogeneous PVC flooring. XPS insulation and alternative floor finishes are available for suitable applications.
Insulated Wall System
External wall elements combine coated galvanized sheet steel, mineral-wool insulation and a durable white internal lining. The same modular principle can be used for partitions, allowing practical layouts with consistent surface finishes. Thermal and acoustic performance depends on the selected wall build-up and openings.
Windows & Glazing
Standard office-container windows use insulating glazing with tilt-and-turn hardware and external roller shutters. Depending on the model and application, options include sliding windows, service hatches, fixed glazing and larger display or showroom glazing. Number, position and dimensions are coordinated with the layout and structural requirements.
Doors & Access
Single-leaf steel exterior doors with secure locking are the usual standard. Options include glazed door leaves, double-leaf doors, alternative entrance positions and interior doors. Wider or step-free access, ramps and platform solutions are planned as project-specific access systems rather than assumed as standard.
Electrical Installation
Factory-installed electrical equipment is adapted to the selected model. Full-size office-container models include a 400 V / 32 A / 5-pin CEE inlet and outlet, a distribution board with RCD protection, separately protected circuits, lighting, switches and sockets. Final equipment and the applicable electrical standards and conformity requirements are confirmed for the project and installation location.
Heating, Cooling & Ventilation
Heating provision depends on the model and configuration. Standard heater quantities for the full-size models are shown in the comparison table; heating remains optional for the 5-ft cabin. Additional electric wall convectors, mechanical extract ventilation and compact or split air-conditioning systems can be specified according to the intended occupancy and operating conditions. Capacity and placement are defined for the container size, glazing, insulation and site conditions.
Quality Control & Project-Specific Requirements
CHV office containers are produced and checked against the agreed specification. Structural design, fire-performance requirements, electrical documentation and any application-specific approvals or certificates are defined for the selected model, configuration and installation site.
