Insulated Technical Container for Industrial Plant Engineering
Custom conversion of a 40-ft High Cube Double Door ISO container
For Hoertner Anlagenbau, CHV developed a purpose-built technical-container solution to house control and equipment systems in a protected, accessible environment. The conversion is based on a 40-ft High Cube Double Door ISO shipping container, providing 66.4 m³ of internal volume and 29 m² of usable floor area. Double cargo doors at both ends and a separate security door in the side wall provide flexible access for installation, operation and maintenance.
Engineered for controlled technical operation
The interior is lined with polished galvanised steel panels for durability and straightforward maintenance. A reinforced raised floor and double-floor construction provide accessible space for cabling, connections and control cabinets. PU-panel insulation to the walls and roof, combined with a split air-conditioning system, supports stable internal conditions. Surface-mounted electrical installations, lighting, switches and integrated IT and data cabling complete the technical fit-out.
From ISO container to integrated technical enclosure
By combining structural access, insulation, climate control, power distribution and data infrastructure within one coordinated unit, the project turns a proven transport platform into a serviceable enclosure for specialist industrial equipment. The original container retains its robust construction and transportable format while being adapted around the customer’s operational and installation requirements.
A coordinated custom-build process
CHV coordinated the container conversion from technical planning and workshop fabrication through transport and installation. The result is a durable, maintainable technical enclosure developed around the requirements of a complex industrial system.
This project demonstrates how container construction can bring structure, access, environmental control and technical infrastructure together in a single purpose-built unit.
