Selected reference projects and real-world applications by CHV
For the refurbishment of Minoritenplatz 9 in Vienna, CHV delivered a total of three multi-storey container office installations as temporary site offices for BIG and ARE. Built within a highly constrained inner-city setting, these modular office units provide the infrastructure needed to manage and coordinate a complex large-scale construction project.

In the heart of Vienna’s 1st district, CHV created a demanding temporary office infrastructure for the major refurbishment project at Minoritenplatz 9. For the duration of the construction works, three separate multi-storey container installations were erected to serve as site offices and as the organisational centre of the project.
The project is a strong example of how flexible modern container installations can be, even under difficult site conditions. On large urban construction sites, available space is often extremely limited, while functional office space for site management, project coordination and technical planning is still needed directly on site. By stacking the modules vertically, CHV delivered an efficient and space-saving solution tailored to these exact requirements.
The temporary site office for BIG was installed directly at Minoritenplatz, forming the visible front-facing part of the site organisation. Within the construction area itself, two further multi-storey site office installations were built for ARE Austrian Real Estate, creating additional office capacity in close proximity to the works. The result is a clearly structured working environment with short internal distances and a reliable infrastructure that supports day-to-day construction operations.
The installations also make a strong visual contribution to the project. Large branded façades turn the temporary buildings into a visible part of the construction site, while inside, bright circulation areas, clearly organised office spaces and functional access routes are designed for intensive daily use.
This reference project at Minoritenplatz highlights CHV’s expertise in delivering complex modular office installations for demanding construction sites — from planning and logistics to transport, assembly and the realisation of multi-storey site offices in a sensitive city-centre location.
On major urban construction sites, compact design is often essential. Instead of occupying valuable site area with sprawling temporary structures, multi-storey container offices create the required office and meeting space within a much smaller footprint. The project at Minoritenplatz in Vienna demonstrates this advantage particularly well.
The site offices delivered by CHV provide the space needed for the organisational processes of a complex refurbishment project while remaining flexible, robust and economical. Thanks to their modular design, container office installations like these can be tailored precisely to the requirements of the site, both in terms of size and internal layout.
For clients such as BIG and ARE, this creates a temporary space solution that is not only practical, but also suitable for professional use on demanding construction projects in a historic inner-city environment.
A particularly striking part of the project is the multi-storey container office installation at the rear of the site along Schauflergasse. The structure was built across five levels and extended up to a sixth floor, creating substantial office capacity on a very limited footprint exactly where it was needed for daily construction operations.
Projects of this height in a tightly constrained city-centre setting require precise technical planning and dependable execution. This installation shows that CHV can realise large multi-storey site offices efficiently and cleanly even under demanding conditions. At the same time, the concept remains true to the practical purpose of the solution: functional, modular and fully geared towards everyday use on site.
This is also reflected in the interior. Bright corridors, clean transitions, integrated stair access and a durable fit-out create a working environment designed to withstand the demands of a major construction site while enabling efficient workflows for the teams working there.
